Cute kids, playful dogs, a beautiful mom along with a pretty fall setting … what’s not to love? But, ’tis the season for germs, colds, and sniffles. When Maria told me that her son was not feeling well leading up to the mini photo session, I told her that I was in the same boat. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday only to come home and find out that our son was coming down with a horrible case of strep throat. Yikes!

Her son was feeling better and in good spirits on the day of the mini photo session so we decided to move forward with the photo session. All of us shared jokes (the son was such a good joke teller), watched the Dad dance behind me, spun in circles (the daughter was just too adorable), tried to get the dogs to stay in place, squeaked dog toys, threw leaves, chased the beautiful light of the evening, and celebrated with chocolate chip cookies.
